AAPA HOD 2020 Report

 Fellow North Dakota Physician Assistants,

This year the AAPA House of Delegates (HOD) meeting was virtual and was almost entirely spent on reviewing the information collected from WPP. WPP is an International Branding firm hired by AAPA to explore what it would take to change the name of the PA profession and if so offers name suggestions. The main point I learned from the information presented was, renaming the PA profession will be expensive in time, effort and money. Whether it is worth it, is up to the PA members of AAPA. I strongly recommend that you review the information for yourself before you decide and let your ND Delegation know your thoughts. The information can be found at, AAPA.org. You will need your AAPA log in information, and it will take a little time to review but it is well worth the effort.

The NDAPA delegates attending the 2021 AAPA HOD meeting will be Daryl Sieg, Chief Delegate, (email: daryl.sieg@und.edu)  and Abbey Ruland, Junior Delegate, (email: abbeyeffertz@gmail.com).

After you have had a chance to review the information provided, I encourage you to let them know how you feel so they can effectively represent you at the 2021 AAPA HOD meeting this May in Philadelphia.

If you have any questions feel free to contact either of your 2020 NDAPA Delegates, Curt Kroh or Daryl Sieg.

Respectfully,

Curt Kroh

2020 Chief Delegate NDAPA
